I will be teaching at the Elevate World Fitness Summit

I am excited the announce that I will be one of the presenters at the Elevate World Fitness Summit next month. Hosted by the Stress Management Institute for Health and Fitness Professionals and the Elevate World Fitness Summit/Retreat.

Here's a bit about this upcoming mind/body retreat:

Elevate World Fitness Summit / Retreat™ is a mind/body medical-based fitness summit for health, fitness, and wellness professionals who would like to grow personally and professionally through the Art and Science of Mind/Body Medicine. Our summit was created to help you grow your business, learn valuable techniques to implement with clients, and become more stress-resilient to prevent burnout through a combination of education and mind/body modalities. Our summit offers many ways to help you to elevate your career and transform lives. The Stress Management Institute for Health and Fitness Professionals™ recognizes October as World Stress Management Awareness month™ and health and fitness professional appreciation month™ .

I you want to register for this conference, which will have a number of presenters and many sessions (including mine) that qualify you for continuing development credits, registration is open and ongoing. The summit will take place from October 22nd-25th, and you can register for a single day or get a four-day pass.

Whether you want to focus on business, stress relief or professional development, there are options. Here’s the link to the event’s webpage.

My presentation will be about the 8 form of Tai Chi, which I currently teach as a Zoom class here online.

The beauty of this short form is that it can be practiced almost anywhere—my wife has pointed out that there’s enough room to do it inside most handicapped toilet stalls!—and it has tremendous medical benefits. It was used in a study with fibromyalgia patients and proven to relieve symptoms.

Given its bilateral nature and the fact that it crosses the body’s center line, it is wonderful for helping with balance and proprioception (the awareness of where your body and movements are, spatially).

If you are a healthcare provider or wellness professional who is looking for further training in the 8 form of tai chi, I hope you will sign up for a Zoom class with me. Or reach out by email to schedule a private session!
